Textures, patterns and colors are often repeated throughout Nature… patterns and shapes of plants suggest patterns, shapes and movements of animals, fish, insects or birds… and inspire me to paint complex, almost abstract, scenes. I consider myself a “representational impressionist” and work in acrylic because of its quick drying time. My paintings are meant to be bold, enthusiastic celebrations of the splendor of the natural world.
